Welcome to our community! Whether you’re here for the Guild Wars 1 streams, Docker or Home Assistant tutorials, or just to see updates on our rescue dog, Sir Flop, we are thrilled to have you.

To keep our community a welcoming and structured place across all our platforms (Twitch, YouTube, Discord, our website, and all social media), please read and adhere to the following rules.

🌐 Global Rules (Applies to All Platforms, Streams, and Socials)

  1. Respect is Paramount: Treat Sythsaz, Kiki_Sparks, our moderators, and all community members with respect. Harassment, personal attacks, witch-hunting, sexism, racism, and hate speech are strictly prohibited.
  2. Keep it Clean and Safe: No sexually explicit content (NSFW) [unless in a specially restricted chat room set up by a designated person], excessive gore, or shock content on any of our public pages, comment sections, or streams.
  3. No Illegal Activity or Piracy: Do not share, request, or promote illegal content, pirated software, or malicious code. Use any home-brewed code or tech tutorials (like our Docker or HA guides) at your own risk.
  4. Privacy First: Never publish personal information (doxxing) about yourself or others.
  5. No Unapproved Advertising: Please refrain from self-promotion, dropping links to your own content, or advertising other channels/servers unless explicitly permitted by us.
  6. Platform Terms: You must abide by the Terms of Service and Community Guidelines of whichever platform you are currently using to interact with us.

👾 Discord-Specific Rules

General Server Rules:

  1. SFW Profiles: Your nickname, profile picture, and status must be appropriate. No blank, unreadable, or offensive names. Moderators will rename you if necessary.
  2. Age Restrictions: This server requires users to be of an appropriate age as per Discord’s TOS. Any dedicated 18+ channels require strict age verification.
  3. No Exploits: Do not use Discord exploits, cause chat glitches, or invite unauthorized bots to the server.
  4. Moderator Discretion: Our mod team reserves the right to use their best judgment to warn, mute, kick, or ban users who disrupt the peace, even if a specific action isn’t strictly listed here.

Text Chat Rules:

  1. Channel Topics: Keep conversations relevant to the channel. Tech support (Home Assistant, OBS, Docker) goes in the tech channels, Guild Wars talk goes in the gaming channels, and Sir Flop appreciation goes in the pet channels!
  2. Pinging Protocol: Do not tag @everyone or @here. Only ping the @FlopGuard (Moderator) role if you require emergency assistance. For standard tech or community support, please use the designated #help-requested channel.
  3. No Spam or Walls of Text: Keep the chat readable. Avoid massive walls of text, spamming the same message, or typing in ALL CAPS.
  4. English Only: To help our moderation team keep things safe, please keep all public text conversations in English.
  5. Debates and Arguments: Keep religious and political discussions out of the server unless started in an appropriate channel or if one of us brings it up (at our discretion). If a conversation gets heated and a moderator tells you to move on, drop the subject immediately.

Voice Chat Rules:

  1. Find Your Space: Pick the appropriate voice channel for your activity (e.g., streaming, lurking, GW1 grouping).
  2. Mic Etiquette: Use Push-to-Talk if you have a lot of background noise, or if voice isolation does not work. Do not play loud music through your microphone or intentionally make disruptive noises.
  3. Moderator Action: Mods can and will server-mute, deafen, or disconnect you if your audio is disruptive or if you are breaking rules in voice chat.

Bot & Tech Rules:

  1. Sythsaz’s Custom Bots: Do not attempt to spam, exploit, or break the custom Giveaway/Streamer bots we run. If you find a bug in the GitHub scripts, please report it gracefully rather than abusing it!
